Organising scientific/practical conferences, festivals, forums, meetings of different character, discussions and seminaries. Educational programs to support business development, Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetian cooperation, Initiating civil partnership. Facilitating conflict zone movement.

The Association Peaceful and Business Caucasus (APBC) is governed by the Board with 4 members:

Alu Gamakharia – Director of Association ,,Peaceful and Business Caucasus”, member of the board.

Manager of Business and Development Network Kutaisi office.

He graduated Moscow Engineering - Economic State University (now University) , specialty engineer - economist .

1974-1993 Lived and worked in Sukhumi, was the the general director of the enterprise `Orgtechnics` (Sokhumkhelsatsko).

1990-2014 – has attended training -seminars and courses on the following topics:

- Modern management and marketing, with participation of business tours in Europe.

- Accounting reform in Enterprises` under USAID project , Kutaisi

In January and March 2013, with Eurasia Partnership Foundation support he passed the consultation and training center courses in the following areas:

- Strategic planning;

- Human Resource Management;

- Project Cycle Management .

2013-2014 years: Trainings of a joint EU/UNDP initiative COBERM: Use of results-based approaches for confidence building projects.

February-March 2015: Developing strong creative approaches among entrepreneurs

-other various trainings on economics and business, as well as on Conflict management

He has published a guide "How to Improve and Manage Own Business." He conducts training on various non-governmental organizations and the establishment and activities of the Coalition .

He regularly organizes or takes part in meetings of public diplomacy within Georgia and abroad in various formats Georgian - Abkhazian and Georgian - Ossetian dialogue.

In December 2008 , " Universal Peace Federation " - has awarded him with the honorary title of " Ambassador of Peace".

Otar Benidze – Chair of the board

– In 2002, the Board of Experts of the Caucasus Academy of Sciences awarded the rank of Academician to its current members.
Professional experience:
– 1971–1975 –  Forensic expert of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia;
– 1975–1981 – Head of the Legal Department of Financial Inspection of Abkhazia;
– 1981–1991 – Head of the Control Inspection of the Council of Ministers of Abkhazia;
– 1991–1996 – Deputy Minister of Justice of Abkhazia. Minister of Justice of Abkhazia and at the same time Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia;
– 1996–2006 – Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia.

– He was awarded by the President of Georgia according to the title of State Judge of Justice and Higher Qualification Judge.
– In 1997, he got the Letters of Honor of the American Bar Association.
– In 2001, he became a member of the World Bar Association in Dublin (Ireland). Since 1983 he has been lecturing at the Abkhazian State University and later at the Sokhumi State University.
– In 2011, he also read lectures until 2017 at the International Black Sea University.
– In 1992–1996, he participated in international talks on the Abkhaz conflict in the formats of Geneva, Moscow and Sochi.
– He has published numerous works on the issues of state-territorial arrangement and constitutional control of Georgia.

Meri Gvadzabia – Member of the board, Office Manager

She graduated Maksim Gorky State University, Faculty of Philology, Georgian language and literature, linguistics specialization (1988).

She attended and went through the following trainings and courses:

– 1996, TACIS – The College of Public Administration course management services;

– 2002 – under the auspices of the United Nations Development Training – Course, Case management and document organization 

– Personnel Tracking and Management Systems;

– January 2013 – March, EPF support, advice and training courses in the following areas:

  • Strategic planning;
  • Human Resource Management;
  • Project Cycle Management.

– February-March 2015: Developing strong creative approaches among entrepreneurs;
– Other various trainings on economics and business, as well as on conflict management;

– 18 June of 2014 – Supreme Council of Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia awarded her by a diploma for the active civic position and the personal contribution in Georgian-Abkhazian relations.

She works in APBC since 2004 as an office manager.

Ekaterine Gamakharia – Member of the board

– She graduated Akaki Tsereteli State University, in Kutaisi, the Faculty of Law and is qualified as a lawyer (2001 ). She has also graduated Indiana University School of Law (IUPUI) majoring in International Human Rights Law (2007);

– She has a vast experience in working with non-governmental organizations, cultural – humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” – in which she led women’s rights sector in 2000-2006;

– Presently, she cooperates with Fund “Sukhumi” as a consultant. In 2007-2008, she worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as a national consultant on refugee issues;
– Since 2012 she works in the field of child welfare in the UK – the charity organization “Every Child “, as a Program Manager.
